Of Great Value...$$$

Alex Rodriguez is one of the most polarizing guys in sports. He is in the company of Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and Michael Phelps. A-Rod is one of few people that you can be in your local grocery store - - in the checkout line - - turn around - - and see him on GQ, Men's Health, S.I., and People Magazine. He's a wlaking HEADLINE! His character of a celebrity is just as polarizing as any athlete in the world. Recently, Mr. Rodriguez confessed of using illegal substances. I am here to say this....

Listen people!!! Rip Alex Rodriguez all you want, he is going to sell a TON of tickets this coming summer. With a demoralizing economy, franchises like the San Diego Padres, Kansas City Royals, and the Pittsburgh Pirates are praying that A-Rod is on their schedule. He creates great animosity. I like SPORTS (obviously). But I am no longer that numbers guy . . . who cares about the numbers . . . thats all baseball is to the bearded old men out there. WHO CARES! Sports is nothing more than entertainment to fans. Thats all it is, its entertainment with a story.

For a sport that is just dying, Alex Rodriguez is GREAT VALUE to the sport. Like it or not NERDS, its the truth. Sorry number nerd, you want some numbers . . . I will give them to you, number nerd . . . First Season in Major League Baseball, A-Rod had 36 home runs, 123 RIBBIES, and batted 360. COMPARED to last season where he hit less home runs (35) and less RIBBIES (103), and batted just .302. Get my point NUMBER NERDS > > > the kid has got game. Hell, he said he was taking them from 2001-03. In 2003 the guy batted .298. (He had a total of 156 home runs from 2001-2003.)

Lastly, my favorite point is that this story that broke had 4 SOURCES! You couldn't find 4 sources if I got slapped in the face at a WAL-MART. Seriously, we all know he did it before he admitted that he did take anabolic steroids or any kind of illegal substance. Another last though, I want to know who the HELL the other 103 people are in this report. If the Players Association ever releases those, I will be extremely happy. I am thoroughly happy that Alex came out and accredited his accounts of using illegal substances.

"I’d be all for the 104 positives being named, and the game moving on if that is at all possible. In my opinion, if you don’t do that, then the other 600-700 players are going to be guilty by association, forever." Curt Schilling (38pitches.com)
